Well of course this is going to be filled with vitriol, when someone says inflammatory things, people get angry. I feel bad that people unfairly pick on feminists and frankly its just despicable that people are being fed this bullshit line about feminism as a theory but being this dismissive of transpeople isn’t really helping anyone, at least in my opinion. Here’s a question: has anyone on this blog actually sat down and talked to a transperson without the need to tear them down as individuals? Along with everything else said here, transgender activists are undoing over a hundred years’ worth of feminist work. Why the hell did anyone bother trying to get us the vote or make it so we could wear pants without breaking the law or get us into the same industry fields as working men and TRY to get us equal pay if all we end up with in the end is the mirror image of the conservative party line about sex vs. gender.
Conservatives say, “Because you have certain parts between your legs, this is how you should look and this is how you should behave.”
Transgender activists (and too many liberals) say, “Because you want to look this way and you want to behave this way, these are the parts you should have between your legs. And if you don’t have them yet, you can just pretend you do.”

I’d be surprised if there are any male cross-dressers left. I remember an episode of Donahue where he welcomed those onto his show. One of them married a girlfriend right there in the episode and both the bride and groom wore white. They wanted to be male. They were straight. They just didn’t want to buy into the societal definition of “man” and what a “man” should look like. What happens to those guys now? Are they convinced they should want to be women?
Do you not see a problem with any of this? Is it that damned difficult for you to just figure out how to interact with a person even if you can’t immediately figure out what physical sex they are?
